Matteo Guidicelli gears up for 'Biggest Loser'

-

CEBUANO actor Matteo Guidicelli is set to host the upcoming fitness reality program “Biggest Loser Doubles” on the Kapamilya Network.

Matteo will serve as the show’s new game master with actress Iza Calzado and Robi Domingo. He considered this a dream project since it is about maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

“It’s about helping people become more conscious about their lifestyle. I want to help spread the word about maintaining a healthy body, eating right, and working out,” he said at the press conference of “I-Shine Talent Camp 2,” where he is a co-host.

Matteo, a champion karter turned triathlete, immediately dismissed comments that he is now ABS-CBN’s poster boy for health and fitness.

“Hindi naman frontliner. Basta nandun ako. I love triathlon. Marami akong natutunan dun about myself, about my body, and nutrition,” he said. “I love fitness. I want to encourage everyone that it’s not just about being physically fit but the discipline and other values that you learn from it.”

Aside from “Biggest Loser Doubles,” the 23-year-old will also do an upcoming teleserye and an independent film.

Matteo said he will not be working with rumored flame Jessy Mendiola in the television project.

“She’s working on something new. We’re good friends. We will never lose our friendship built in ‘Paraiso’. Special yun sa amin. We promised to keep in touch. We see each other. Basta masaya kaming dalawa,” he said.

Meantime, the actor gave his two cents on the rift between ex-girlfriend Maja Salvador and Cebuana actress Kim Chiu.

“I don’t want to step into their issues. I stepped out from it a long time ago. I’m happy for both of them. We are all good. Everything is okay,” he said.
