Comval implements various Pamana livelihood projects
COMPOSTELA VALLEY – With much effort to help and support those typhoon victims in the province along with various government programs, Governor Arturo T. Uy also directs the fast track implementation of the Pamana (Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan) Livelihood Projects of the Opapp (Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process).
These projects are among the national government support to the Rebuilding and Recovery Program of the province dubbed as Tindog Comval Movement aside from about P50 million assistance given by the Department of Agriculture (DA),
In his submitted “Blue Print of Recovery” to the Office of the President, Governor Uy revealed agriculture damages in the province due to Typhoon Pablo reaching to more than P14 billion.
High Value Commercial Crops Division Chief Minda Agarano of the Provincial Agriculturist Office (Pagro) that Governor Uy has started implementing in the whole province the agriculture interventions of Malacañang.
Among these are that of the Pamana Program like the distribution of cacao and rubber seedlings to the farmers for free who underwent trainings given by the province.
Agarano further shared that from April up to May 2013, the province has able to distribute about 161,000 seedlings of Cacao and 47,000 seedlings of Rubber in the municipalities of Monkayo, Maco, Laak, Mawab, Nabunturan and Compostela.
