ADDU scores 47.06% passing rate for CPA
TWENTY-FOUR out of 51 examinees from the Ateneo de Davao University made it in the May 2013 Licensure Examinations for Certified Public Accountants, with March 2012 graduate Richard Baguio Saavedra making it to the topmost rank with 96%.
With the 47.06% passing rate, ADDU’s outperformed the national passing rate of 27.41 where only 1,553 passed out of the 5,665 examinees. ADDU also has the highest number of passers and the highest passing percentage among the eight schools offering Accountancy in the region.

This is the first time that a graduate of ADDU or any school in the region got the number 1 spot in the CPA board. Since 2008, the Accountancy Department of ADDU has produced four topnotchers : Raymond Christian S. Ong Abrantes (9th placer, October 2008 exam), Joseph Albert J. Bulao (3rd placer, October 2009 exam), Elfin Kenneth S. Puentespina (6th placer, October 2011 exam).
