Tamaraws, Lady Spartans play for title

THE Instatech Inter-Hospital Tournament is coming to a close with the volleyball finals and basketball quarterfin­al matches slated at the Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) Matina campus on June 1.

Disputing the volleyball crown will be the Southern Philippine­s Medical Center (SPMC) Tamaraws and the Soccsksarg­en County Hospital Lady Spartans.

The Davao Regional Hospital Heats will go against the Davao Mediquest Hospital Inc. Cowgirls for third place also on the same day. Winners will be receiving cash prizes and a trophy. Meanwhile, in the basketball tournament, Bracket A has just entered its quarterfin­al round after ending the eliminatio­n phase Saturday.

Playing in the final four will be Ricardo Limso Medical Center/Alexian Aces, Southern Philippine­s Medical Center Thunders, San Pedro Hospital Warriors and the Davao Doctors Hospital Agilas.

The Aces, Thunders and the Warriors shared top stop after finishing the eliminatio­ns with a card of 6-1 each. The Agilas had a 3-3 record.

This Saturday matches pit the Aces against the Agilas and the Thunder facing the Warriors.

In Bracket B, teams entered are still playing their eliminatio­n games.

Bracket B teams will be having their games on May 31 at Goldstar Gym and at on Saturday at the AdDU Matina campus gym.
