Ryzza Mae Dizon, a true Kapuso jewel

-

HONESTLY, I’ve never been a fan of this Kapuso child star not until I was able to watch her very own talk show last May 27.

For weeks now, my children, who are still on summer vacation, have been prodding me to watch at least one episode of The Ryzza Mae Show of seven--year-old child wonder Ryzza Mae Dizon.

Finally, last Monday was the chance which my kids have been yearning for.

The May 27 episode featured Annabelle Rama, whose fierce personality will surely become more interesting once being interviewed by someone with no holds barred. And yes, Ryzza Mae pulled it through. The questions thrown were candid which left the Gutierrez matriarch laughing without saying a word. I must admit as well that the young star really has the wit to make the entire discussion interesting and fun..

What really had me laughing out loud was when Ryzza Mae tried to mimic the way Annabelle talks and utters the name of Ruffa which goes: “Day, walang pwedeng umaway sa pamilya ko, kahit dyan kay Roffa. Hindi ‘yan pwede sa akin, ‘day!” With the chubby, cute girl’s candid delivery of Annabelle’s famous line, you’d definitely feel certain that she really has the x-factor of becoming one of the country’s best talk show hosts especially if you will learn that Ryzza Mae runs the conversation based on what she wants to know from the guests. Yes, there is no script or no definite spiel that she follows as the camera rolls.

Ryzza Mae, a short brief of how she started. Last year, Ryzza Mae joined Eat Bulaga’s Little Miss Philippines. But her first try wasn’t good enough that she lost. Fortunately, she was called back to compete again as a wildcard contender.

Certainly, showbiz has a big room for her as she bagged the Little Miss Philippines 2012 title, which opened more opportunities for her in the industry.

At times, some people would comment that Ryzza Mae will only stay cute and “marketable” until she is a little girl, that when she reaches her teenage years, her “marketability” will wane.

Well, showbiz is not just about good looks. The industry also puts emphasis on the talents that every artist can offer the public. I guess, Ryzza Mae has numerous talents to brag about.

For a seven-year-old girl to be that prolific and natural as a talk show host is something that I admire most in her. Thus, I could say that my first time will ultimately have ‘next times’. I will absolutely watch the show once I’ll have the chance to do so. And mind you, I might try dancing the Ryzza Mae cha-cha moves one of these days even with my obvious bump. Will you join me?
