Search for best agri stories, photos now on
THE 2013 Bright Leaf Agriculture Journalism Awards, which honor the best agriculture stories and photos in tri-media across the country, is now accepting entries for the annual competition.
David Isaac Buenaventura, Bright Leaf project director, in a briefing in Davao City Wednesday evening, said they are looking for the best agriculture stories and photos in print, radio, and television, with special attention on the impact of current agricultural issues and best farming practices on environmental safety and crop sustainability.
He said Bright Leaf is now on its 7th year and aims to heighten tri-media practitioners’ participation by actively searching for a bigger number of nominees from more agricultural provinces while at the same time sustaining and strengthening ties with previously covered provinces.
In the past, Buenaventura said Bright Leaf highlighted positive stories which have uplifted the agriculture sec- tor, one of the country’s backbone industries.
Today, the annual competition has become the most anticipated celebration of the country’s best agriculture stories and journalists.
