junked; Kris’ petition James can now visit Bimby

-

A MAKATI Regional Trial Court has restored cager James Yap’s visitation rights to his son James Jr., also known as Bimby.

Lawyer Lorna Kapunan, legal counsel of James, told Sun.Star that their camp received the court decision dated May 21 on Tuesday.

Kapunan said her client is happy that Kris Aquino’s petition for Permanent Protection Order (PPO) against James was denied by the court.

“He’s so happy. In fact yesterday nag tweet siya na ‘thank you Lord’. Yun lang ang concern namin,” she saidaid in a phone interview Wednesday evening.ning.

She said James can noww go back to the old visitation schedule he hadad with Bimby. He is allowed to see the six-year-old child every Wednesday at 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday up to the next day.

Kapunan said the court noted that it is in the best interest of the child that he grows up knowing both his parents.

The same court approveded Kris’ petition for PPO, which requiresquires James to distance himself att least 100 meters from the televisionvision host. The Queen of All Media had sought for protection after she alleged that James had overstepped his boundar- ies and attempted to seduce her while visiting their son in her house in Makati.

Kapunan stressed that they will not contest the court ruling on the PPO on Kris as her client had already moved on from his failed marriage. She reiterated however that this should not be construed by the other party that her client is guilty of the said alleged sexual advances.

“Although Attorney (Frank) Chavez (head legal counsel of Kris) is saying na vindicate yung claim nila na sexual advances, that’s not true. But the court said James testified that his gestures were done jokingly precisely so that the child would kiss him,” Kapunan said. (Sunnex)
