Michael V says no to exclusive clusive contract

-

VETERAN comedian Michael V prefered not to sign an exclusive network contract with any station for “creativity” reason.

In a recent interview with the comedian, he said that contracts sometimes restrict actors or talents in the entertainment industry on what they want to do and what content they want to pursue.

For someone who has been in the business for so long, Bitoy, as the viewers would fondly call him, said he doesn’t want to subject himself to shows he’s not passionate about.

“Ma-restrict ‘ yung creativity ko. Mapipilitan ka na gumawa ng mga shows na hindi mo gusto dahil sa kontrata. Minsan kasi may mga shows na madali lang na-concpetualize, pinilit lang na maitawid, para lang magawa for the talent, for the artist,” said Michael V.

He’s particular in the entertainment anand production values of his programs, anand how will it affect the lives of the viewers.

Bitoy said, he’s part of the creative process of almost all his shows, from “Bubble Gang” to “Pepito Manaloto,” not to mention the longest running noon time variety show on television, “Eat Bulaga.” All are being broadcast on GMA-7.

“Any show na meron ako, ganoon sila ka-precious. At the end of the day, sana panalo lagi ang audience,” he said.

But Bitoy said if the time comes that he needed to ink an exclusive deal wwith any network, he would definitely consider it.

The comedian said, “Hindi naman ako nagsasara ng pinto, pero at this moment, bound pa rin ako sa mga shows na ginagawa ko sa GMA-7. One step at a time.” Just recently, Bitoy was introduced by TV5 as the newest host of the local franchise of hit US show “Killer Karaoke. The program made waves not only in the states, but also in Russia, Poland, Thailand, Peru, Ecuador, Lithuania, Mexico, Portugal and the United Kingdom.
