If you recall, for many years, the PAL Interclub Golf Tournament was only for the regular men’s division and the men’s senior division. But two years ago, Philippine Airlines decided to revive the PAL tournament for the ladies. Thank you very much Philippine Airlines!

Two years ago, the venue of the PAL Ladies tournament was at Rancho Palos Verdes. Last year, the venue of the tournament was at Sta. Barbara Golf Club in Iloilo. This year, we actually thought there was no more PAL Ladies Interclub tournament, however, the organizers decided to continue and made Rancho Palos Verdes the venue for this year’s tournament. And next year, it was announced that the venue of the 9th PAL Ladies Interclub Golf Tournament will be in Cebu.

The awards ceremony was held at Pinnacle Hotel. The Freestyle band had a concert for the participants. The girls drank beer and cocktails and danced as the Freestyle band played on. According to handsome emcee Anthony Suntay who usually comes out in Solar Sports during PBA basketball games, sorry, forgot his name, the girls in the PAL tournament were more energetic during the awards ceremony compared to the guys at the PAL men’s tournaments.

As always, big raffle prizes were at stake--free samsung celphones, roundtrip tickets including a round trip ticket to London. Unfortunately, i did not win a raffle prize. Oh well. Better luck next year, in Cebu!

Happy golfing!
