Honda PH rolls out an upgraded XRM 125

THE Philippine­s’ top motorcycle manufactur­er, Honda Philippine­s, Inc., launched a newer and upgraded XRM 125 series yesterday at Abreeza of the Ayala Malls.

This latest addition to the company’s new line of motorcycle­s is sporting an upgraded design of the CRF series, which comes in three variants such as Dual Sport, Motard, and Dual Sport Extreme (DSX).

In a press launch at the Cafe Laguna at the Abreeza Mall, Honda Philippine­s Advertisin­g and Sales Manager Dennis Restor said the Motard is designed for the urban area, which has alloy wheels and front features and rear disc brakes while the Dual Sport is designed to be driven on or off road and features spoke wheels, knuckle guards, and front disc brake.

The DSX is a special edition which is also designed to be driven on or off road bike that features spoke wheels, front and rear disc brakes, and knuckle guards. The first shipment of DSX arrived in Davao early this week.

Restor said the XRM 125 series was first launched in 2007, which was the first motorcycle unit of its line in the country equipped with Euro2 compliant engine. In 2010, they launched the XRM trinity series which included the Motard, Dual Sport, and Off road model.

“For the new upgraded XRM125 series, we dropped the Off road model and replaced it with the DSX. Also, all three variants features CRF characteri­stics,” he said.

Restor also said that the XRM 125 are specifical­ly designed to be used in the rough terrains of Visayas and Mindanao.

Last October 25, 2013 they launched the upgraded XRM125 series in Market Market for Luzon.
