Duterte names Sun.Star columnist to DCWD board

DAVAO City Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte appointed Sun.Star Davao columnist Serafin C. Ledesma Jr. as a member of the board of directors (BOD) of Davao City Water District (DCWD), replacing the late Atty. Charlemagn­e Aldevera.

Duterte announced Ledesma’s appointmen­t during a press conference held at the Mandaya Hotel on Friday evening.

He said the appointmen­t, which was signed on the same night, is effective until December 2016.

Ledesma will be representi­ng the educationa­l institutio­n sector.

Aldevera, 64, died from a heart attack last month.

Duterte said Ledesma completes the current fivemember DCWD Board of

Directors that include Atty. Eliseo R. Braganza Jr. for civic sector, Ma. Luisa L. Jacinto for the women sector, Atty. Abdul M. Dataya for the profession­al sector, and Eduardo A. Bangyan for business sector. ANC
