Motorcycle driver dies on top of taxi

A MOTORCYCLE landed on top of a taxicab after an accident at around 2:35 a.m. Saturday along Carlos P. Garcia National Highway in Davao City.

The motorcycle driver who died in the incident was identified as Jerson Mahilum Regner, 29, married and a resident of NHA Seaside, Bangkal.

Buhangin police said the motorcycle collided with the Toyota Vios taxi bearing the license plate LXC-831, driven by Julito Buala Pandamon. The ac- cident happend in front of the Metro Mint Building near Camp Quintin Merecido, formerly Camp Catitipan.

The taxicab was on its way to Pag-ibig Homes when it hit the motorcycle driven by the victim.

The strength of the impact sent the victim flying, landing on top of the taxi and died.

The body of the victim was brought to Angel Funeral Homes while the driver is now being held in a cell at Buhangin.
