Miss World signs contract with GMA
GMA Network is the official media partner of Miss World Philippines 2014.
The contract signing was held last Friday at the GMA Network Center and attended by the top officers of the Network.
Present in the contract signing were GMA chair and chief executive officer Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, GMA senior vice president for Entertainment TV Lilybeth G. Rasonable, GMA assistant vice president for Corporate Communications Angela Javier-Cruz, GMA senior program manager for Entertainment TV Bang U. Arespacochaga, and program manager for Entertainment TV Ali Nokom-Dedicatoria.
Just like the pageants held in 2011 and 2013, Miss World Philippines partners with GMA Network again this year to stage and broadcast this prestigious event. Last year, the Philippines made a significant milestone as Megan Young was the first Filipino to be awarded the Miss World title.
On having GMA as its media partner this year, Cory Quirino is thrilled and happy with the partnership. “We’ve e been partners with GMA from the e beginning since 2011 and we feel that at there’s no better or stronger home for r us than GMA. In 2011, we successfully y launched the brand Miss World Philipppines wherein we placed first runnerrup. This 2014, Megan comes home to o crown our queen. This will be the first st time she will walk the Philippine stage e as our very first Miss World. It will be e very historic for us and we would like e to share that history-making moment nt with GMA.”
