Hayden Kho regains medical license
THE Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has reinstated the medical license of controversial personality Hayden Kho four years after he was stripped in the aftermath of a sex video scandal involving Katrina Halili.
The PRC announced its decision on Monday through Resolution No. 55 of the commission’s Board of Medicine. Board of Medicine chairman Dr. Miguel Noche Jr. said on Tuesday that the PRC granted Kho’s petition for reinstatement after expressing his remorse and proving his fitness to resume his medical practice.
Before he lost his license in 2010, Kho was a known member of the medical team behind the popular chain of cosmetic surgery clinics owned and managed by Dr. Vicki Belo, his longtime on-again, off-again girlfriend.
Belo posted early Tuesday a picture of a letter from a PRC lawyer announcing the reinstatement.
“Sorry for the ugly picture but to me it’s the most beautiful picture I’ve seen in 5 years. This is the PRC document restoring @dochayden s medical license. Thank you so much to our father in heaven. It’s so true Matthew 6:33 that if you put God first all will be added on to you. Congratulations Dr. hayden Kho jr.,” she said.
The PRC stripped Kho of his medical license after Halili filed an administrative case in connection with a sex video featuring her and Kho that circulated in late 2009.
The PRC found him guilty of immorality and dishonorable and unethical conduct, which the Court of Appeals affirmed in a 2012 decision junking Kho’s appeal.
Last year, Kho claimed that he had found religion and had sworn off sex.
