Rody riders off to SoCot
THE eight-member Rodrigo Duterte Cycling Team will leave for South Cotabato tonight to compete in the elite division of the T’nalak Roadbike and Mountainbike Challenge set tomorrow and Sunday.
Team captain Dexter xter Nonato leads the group oup also composed of Jumar mar Bacharpa, Erik Apinar, nar, Darryl Echaves, and Jason ason Caseres who will enter the roadbike event. Charlito rlito Esparar and Raymark Le-Legasan will test their luckck in the mountainbike race. .
PhilCycling member mber Charlito Esparar, who guested at the Davao vao Sportswriters Association tion (DSA) Forum at NCCC CCC Mall B3 Center yesterday, day, said they are excited for their participation in the said bikefest.
“Always lang nagaapil apil ang Team Rody basta naay invitations na competitions ions (Whenever there are invitavitations for events, Team Rody is always ready to partici- rtici- pate),” Esparar said.
Bikers from Butuan City, Surigao, Bukdinon, Manila, Cebu are also entered in the two-day competition.
Roderick Donillo, another member of Team Rody, is sidelined with an injury and will not be able to participate in the South Cotabato. On the other hand, he will still accompany the team in South Cotabato.
Donillo will act as the coach of the team in place of PhilCycling deputy sec-sec- retary-general for Mindanao Salvador “Jun” Paholio.
Esparar said, “Ungta makadaug nako kay aron makahatag ko ug dungog sa Team Rody (I hope to win this time so I can give honorhonor to the team).”
