AFP-PNP Press Corps bowlfest slated tomorrow

THE 1st AFP-PNP Press Corps Southern Mindanao Bowling Tournament rolls off at 1 p.m. tomorrow at the NCCC Mall B3 Center lanes.

Ruth Palo Dumandan, who guested in the Davao Sportswrit­ers Associatio­n (DSA) Forum at NCCC Mall B3 Center yesterday said the event is a gathering of all media members from print, radio and TV for a day of fun and recreation through bowling.

“I’m expecting 10 teams will participat­e in the tournament and each team will be composed of five members,” Dumandan said.

The bowling tournament will be played in a three-game series. The champion will receive P7,500 cash prize while the next two placers will receive P5,000 and P3,500, respective­ly.

The top male and female bowlers will each pocket P1,500.

Bonafide members of the group are free to play. Members of the tri-media may sign up as members of the AFP-PNP Press Corps and pay P300 membership fee good for three months of dues while non-members will have to pay P200 per game.

Snacks will be available for all participan­ts.

Players will be grouped before games start.

“We also invited bowlers from Task Force Davao and Police Regional Office 11 to join us on Saturday,” she added.

Dumandan also bared that a similar event will be held in December.
