Solenn denies knowing Derek’s wife

ACTRESS Solenn Heussaff clarified she was not aware that ex-boyfriend Derek Ramsay was married to Mary Christine Jolly when they were still together.

In an interview with the 29year-old actress at the press conference of period drama “Ilustrado” on Thursday, Solenn said she only learned in the news that Derek has a wife and an 11year-old kid.

“Nakita ko lang sa news ngayon. Alam ko lang yung mga exes niya. (Yung sa marriage niya) no. Alam ko lang mga ex-girlfriends niya,” Solenn said.

She explained that she was a minor, only 17 years old, when she and Derek became a couple. The long distance relationship lasted for three years.

The actress said that contrary to what was circulating in showbiz grapevine, she hasn’t talked to or exchanged messages with Jolly when she was still with Derek.

But the actress confirmed that she had a chance encounter with Jolly at a restaurant in Makati City three years ago but no communication ensued.

“Na-meet ko siya dati sa M Cafe sa Greenbelt. Nakita ko siya doon 3 years ago and sabi niya na andito siya para sa anak niya. Pero never kaming nagte-text, wala akong number niya,” Solenn said.
