Cooking class at Cacs to start next month

- KGL

THE third batch for the certificate program in cooking and baking skills at the Center for Asian and Culinary Studies (Cacs) Davao is set to open next month.

CACS Chef Instructor, Francisco M. Roman III, said that there are 25 slots available for their twomonth skills course.

The Cacs skills course was made for those cooking enthusiasts who have no time to take their procourse which lasts for from six to eight months.

Their skills certificate program, according to Roman, is just a short course from their full culinary program which is composed of the basic foundation needed in cooking and baking.

“What we want to teach them is not only technical skills but the logic behind it, bakit mo kailangan gawin to. Kasi sa amin it is important that you understand kung ano yung ginagawa mo,” Roman said.

He also added that after the short-course, the student-chef graduates will culminate with a lunch buffet wherein they will be preparing the food for a certain number of guests and they will be receiving Tesda National Level 2 Certificates.

Schedule for the skills certificate program is Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday and they are also open for a Sunday class for those who cannot be in their first set schedule.

Besides their world class kitchen facilities, Cacs has already produced more than a thousand graduates who are already successful in the culinary world for its six years of operation in the city.

Cacs-Davao is an extension to the main Manila branch, which has been running for 14 years now and also producing successful chef graduates.

Cacs-Davao is located at Don Dionisio Complex, JP. Cabaguio Avenue, Agdao.
