Water cut set
DAVAO City Water District (DCWD) has scheduled two sets of water service interruptions affecting some areas in Buhangin and Tugbok to give way to separate service improvement projects.
First set is on October 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will affect a portion of Buhangin specifically the streets of Santan, Gumamela, Molave, Narra, Yakal, Sampaguita, Pine Tree and Orchid and their immediate environs. DCWD needs to temporarily cut water supply for eight hours to allow its Pipeline and Appurtenances and Maintenance Department crew to tap the newly replaced 50mm diameter unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride (uPVC) Pipeline and 100mm diameter uPVC mainline at Model Block in Buhangin.
Second set is an eighthour water cut on October 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. affecting some Tugbok areas specifically a portion of Bgry. Ula (Brgy. Ula Road from junction of Santan St. to Biao Tienda, Santan St., Purok 3 and Purok 11 and road from Brgy. Ula to Martyrville Subdivision), Biao Tienda, Small Tacunan, IKP Village, Martyrville Subdivision and Purok 7 in Brgy. Tacunan. DCWD’s Engineering and Construction Department crew will install a 150mm diameter pressure regulating valve at Brgy. Tacunan.
Both projects in the first and second water cuts will help reduce non-revenue water. DCWD general manager Edwin V. Regalado advised would-be affected customers to store enough water prior to the scheduled water interruptions as water supply may be restored earlier if work goes smoothly or later if unforeseen problems arise.
