- By Reuel John F. Lumawag

HOMEGROWN realestate company, Damosa Land Inc., will break grounds for its first condominium project, Seawind, on April 15.

The condominium project will rise in a 2.7 hectare (ha.) property on Km. 11 in Sasa. It will be composed of six residential buildings, three of which are seven storeys with 168 units while the other three are eight storeys with 192 units, and a two-storey commercial center.

Last February, the company acquired their development permit from the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB).

Earlier, Damosa Land Inc. vice president Ricardo F. Lagdameo said the development permit will allow them to start with the development of the condominium project. The company processed their license to sell and building permit last March.

He said the basic land preparation and development will begin this quarter.

For this year they will begin with the construction of the first of the three seven-storey building, commercial complex, the ammenities, and the road network inside the development.

There will also be a commercial center, which will put up at the front of the development, will cater to both residents, the community, and passing motorists. It will be connected to one of the residential buildings.

The project will also feature large open spaces, a basketball court, pool, clubhouse, and water features.

Earlier, Lagdameo said they are targetting middle-income families for Seawind. The whole development will run for six years with one building constructed every year.

Aside from Seawind, Damosa Land Inc.’s first residential project was the Damosa Fairlane in Lanang.

It is also the first to introduce and develop a mixed-use development in Mindanao with the Damosa District, which houses the Anflocor Corporate Center, Damosa Gateway, Damosa Market Basket, Damosa Business Center, the Damosa IT Park, and Microtel by Wyndham.

The company also has projects in General Santos City which includes the McPod Building, fivestorey Topaz Tower, and Microtel by Wyndham.
