Traffic enforcer victim in hit and run incident

DAVAO CITY – A member of the City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO) is currently in critical condition in the hospital after being the victim in a hit and run incident at 6:45 a.m. yesterday near Gate 3 of Woodridge Subdivisio­n, Carlos P. Garcia Highway, Barangay Ma-a.

The victim was identified as Bagundang Calamungi, 43, married and a resident of Air Side, San Lorenzo, Puan, Talomo District.

According to the infor-

mation from Talomo Police Station, it was learned that the victim was guiding traffic since there was a fun run being conducted at Crocodile Park.

It was said that he was suddenly hit by a blue Honda Civic bearing plate number LGF-781, and hit the concrete where he lay motionless and bled profusely.

Concerned citizens who joined the fun run at Crocodile Park, however, commented on Facebook that the Honda Civic was black and the plate showed LGL-781.

The victim is currently being looked after in the Southern Philippine­s Medical Center (SPMC) while the police are working with the Land Transporta­tion Office (LTO) 11 to identify the owner of the vehicle. JeePY P. COMPIO
