6 more drug suspects nabbed

AUTHORITIE­S have arrested six more suspected drug pushers in a continuing campaign against illegal drugs operation in Davao City on Sunday.

The latest incident took place at around 2:09 a.m. on Santol St. in Buhangin, resulting to the arrest of four suspects identified as Adrian Dexter Agoo Billeza, 23, of Buhangin, and three other minor.

Police said Barangay Peace and Order Unit (BPOU) personnel were conducting patrol in the

area when they chanced upon a group of teenagers in suspicious activity. When the BPOU approached the group, they were caught throwing a piece of sachet on the ground, which was later found to be containing suspected shabu.

Billeza was brought to Buhangin police while the minors were endorsed to the Women’s Protection and Children’s Desk (WPCD) of the same station.

The other incident took place at around 12:45 a.m. on Ponciano st. in Davao City.

San Pedro police and Philippine Drug Enforcemen­t Agency (PDEA) 11, in a joint buy-bust operation, arrested the suspect identified as Juphil Cuesta Bongabong, 29, of brgy. Mandug.

Suspect was arrested by authoritie­s after receiving P500 marked money from a police officer who posed as a buyer.

Also seized from the possession of the suspect was a sachet of suspected shabu.

The suspect’s companion identified as Reynaldo Albarado, 43, of brgy. 29, was also endorsed to the authoritie­s for questionin­g.

Suspects who are of legal age will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehens­ive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. KRP
