ONCE again, we are bringing you the best hits of the city. This time, the line up will be highlighted by a conversation, or a chat (talking about lingo of the times) with one of the best djs in the local radio scene. Let us meet the person behind the operations of what I used to know as 98dot7 years ago. Let us meet Ron in this intro to the hits.
“Hi guys, I’m Ronald Alvarez, of Shrine Hills, Matina, Davao City, but I am originally from Barangay La Filipina, Tagum City Davao Del norte. I’m currently the Station Manager at 98.7 Home Radio Davao under Aliw Broadcasting Corporation, where I handle Sales and Programming. I used to be detailed with 107.5 Win Radio Davao as Disc Jockey (Jake Gwapito) for three years. And while I really enjoyed the work that I had there, I embarked on taking the chance to go beyond what I can do reason why I left and got tied with another broadcast company this time with a different challenge. I’m so excited about the opportunity with 98.7 Home Radio Davao.
