Mayor Sara hits back at Fortun
DAVAO City Mayor Sara "Inday" Duterte-Carpio raged in anger as she fired back at a controversial tweet of a forensic pathologist Raquel Fortun, whom the mayor referred to as "Miss Bittermelon", over her pregnancy announcement.
Fortun, on her Friday's tweet, said, "Too early to rejoice over 7weeker lalo na triplets. Wait for delivery and spare oneself from heartache. PR for Lolo?," apparently pertaining to President Rodrigo Duterte.
A day after it was posted, Mayor Duterte-Carpio blasted Fortun via Facebook, saying, "Ah yes PR pero bago ka mag tweet basahin mo muna yung PR ng hindi ka magmukhang dugyot na ampalaya."
The press statement, the mayor said, was intended to explain her absence to the public,
particularly to Dabawenyos, on some special gatherings as she was advised by her doctor to take a rest and "avoid crowded places to lessen the chances of acquiring infections".
The presidential daughter also underscored that Fortun did not like her father, thus, the controversial post that went viral in different social media sites.
"Problema sa imuha Miss kay di ka ganahan sa Lolo manunglo ka sa mga gisabak, 3 baya ni, buot pasabot ang gaba ani katulohon pud. Turn off your twitter, do your work, mind your own business and spare yourself the heartache (The problem with you Miss is that you do not like the grandfather that is why you curse what I am carrying in my womb. I have three, that is why it also means that the bad luck that gets back at you would also be three-fold)," she added.
After the post, Fortun replied that she just came from worked and haven't read everything on her timeline. "I never doubted your pregnancy Mayor Duterte I do wish you well. Had 2 miscarriages myself," she said.
Sara's post was lauded by her Facebook followers.
Teresa Buensuceso Charmak said, "Unfortunate doctor I hope wala ka anak. Ang pagiging ina ay blessing. Eh ano ang tawag sa triplets.. eh di triple blessings. Ikaw Fortun ka na unfortunate ka naman sa ugali. You have a bad heart kaya nakikita mo ang heartache instead see the heartful blessings. Congrats maam Sara sa triple na blessing. Pinapadami ang mga lahi nyo."
Reb Quiamco, meanwhile, wished the mayor good luck, to take good care of herself and not to stress too much as Ging Sarona said she continues to pray for her and the triplets.
