PURELY SERVICE
AGENUINE service that surpasses mandate was evident in the acts of Generika Drugstore volunteers who launched a charitable activity to extend support for the recently concluded Kadayawan Festival while moving an extra mile to contribute to the community’s health at the same time.
In fulfilling their Corporate Social Responsibility (CHR), Generika Drugstore piloted a humanitarian intervention dubbed as "Gabay Generika Medical Mission" on August 18, at Rizal Park. The event was anchored on their commitment to give back to the community and their loyal customers.
Around 1,500 patients were able to avail of free services like medical consultation for various types of ailments and massage. Free vitamins were also given away. A supplier also distributed free coffee for the participants while others had free sampling of their vitamins and food supplements.
Some of the participants also shook their fats away by joining the Zumba in the afternoon of the same day.
Generika Drugstore Regional Business Head in Mindanao Arch. Ruel O. Salgado said in an interview with Sun.Star Davao that their main purpose for conducting the free medical mission is primarily to provide assistance for Indigenous Peoples (IPs) and the Dabawenyos.
"Every year, Generika gives back to the community. We also have medical missions all over the Philippines," Salgado said, adding that they plan to conduct the activity every year and to also hold simultaneous medical missions in the coming months.
He said that the event aims to educate the public that quality generic medicines are equally as effective as the branded ones.
What makes Generika unique?
In putting their customer’s satisfaction at the top of their priority, Generika Drugstore serves their clients with efficiency and providing a friendly and professional counseling.
Generika, with their tagline ‘Gamot at serbisyo maasahan dito,’ is doing an extra effort to carve their name in the medicine industry to prove that generic medicines are as effective as its branded counterpart.
Once every month, Generika stores create small-scale medical mission where they conduct free consultations for their patients.
"One of the factors that our store differs from the other stores is that we have such thing as mobile clinic and free consultation. Our mobile clinic will only cost P300 and then the clients will get 8 exams. After that, the doctors will read the results,” Salgado said.
He added that Gabay Generika has also a scheme called ‘Gamot guide’ where the pharmacists read the doctor’s prescription and inform the patient on how to properly take their medicines.
