She intends to serve her two-year term “planning and setting in motion plans that will ensure that Toastmasters International continues to serve its members as it leads the way in Communication and Leadership training.”
“I intend to participate actively in the board through webinars/teleconference and face-toface meetings. To visit Districts in my Region which covers countries in South East Asia," she added.
Founded in 1924 and headquartered in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., Toastmasters International now has more than 345,000 in more than 15,900 clubs in 142 countries. Its legacy: generations of confident speakers, communicators, and leaders from diverse backgrounds.
“In my years as a Toastmaster people have described their experience as a journey. A journey to becoming a better speaker, a confident person, and an effective leader. Toastmasters have encouraged me to get out of my box to explore possibilities and push boundaries, boundaries that I have set," Tay said.
