JB willing to name Donggail ‘narco-cops’

MANILA -- Convict Jaybee Sebastian said yesterday that he is willing to divulge the names of the cops involved in the drug trade at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City.

In his testimony during the House inquiry on illegal drugs trade in the NBP, Sebastian blamed the so-called “ninja cops” for the proliferation of illegal drugs in the national penitentiary and in the country.

According to Sebastian, the policemen involved in the illegal drug trade in Bilibid are the ones responsible for rampant drug sale in the country.

“Kaya po lumaganap ang kalakaran ng droga sa Pilipinas dahil sa mga ninja cops,” Sebastian said, referring to policemen who re-sell illegal drugs seized in law enforcement operations or those who protect drug syndicates while still in active service.

According to Sebastian, he sought to speak with President Rodrigo Duterte earlier to disclose everything he knows about the illegal drug trade in the NBP, as he fears for his family’s security.

Sebastian said Donggail, a former policeman who is now detained in the NBP’s building 14, informs the narco cops where the drug laboratories of the Chinese drug lords are located.

According to Sebastian, Donggail orders his accomplices who are his former colleagues in the Philippine national Police to raid the shabu laboratories and recycle the illegal drugs seized during operations.
