Malita, Davao Occidental has three tribes namely, Tagacaolo who occupies the uplands, Manobo who settles in the lowlands and the B'laan in the mountains of Little Baguio. The Muslim communities, on the other hand, spread out in the coastal areas of Malita, and some families reside in the hinterlands of lowlands and uplands. The festival is jointly celebrated by all indigenous communities with the support of the Local Government units which depict the image of unity among these different cultural communities that are existing co-harmoniously in one place, advocating love and respect for each other.
