PROVIDING quality engineering services in Davao is one of the primary goals of Davao Merqs Electrical Services, Inc. (Merqs) since it began its operations last year.
"We are an engineering firm focused on providing electrical and mechanical services for industries and commercial establishments," said engineer Glenn Jay A. Reston, Merqs president.
Reston said the company, was established to answer to the market's increasing need for firms who provide electrical and mechanical services.
"Mindanao has been experiencing fast paced growth in the past couple of years. The investors we have met say that there is a need for contractors in Mindanao who provide services similar to ours," he said.
Reston said when the company began they were providing services to residential establishments.
However, later on they started to provide services to much bigger clients like industries and commercial projects.
The company is presently composed of eight Registered Electrical Engineers (REEs), including Reston, who have years of varied experiences from planning, energy efficient designs, estimates up to the complete implementation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems in residential structures, commercial establishments, and industries.
Reston said aside from the engineers, they also hire additional manpower for their projects.
At present, most of their projects are here in Davao City but soon they are also eyeing projects in other areas outside of the city.
The company specializes in planning, design, estimate and installation of electrical systems to residential, commercial, industrial and public developments. They also carry out routine maintenance for existing electrical system installations for residential, commercial and industrial establishments.
Among other services provided include electrical equipment installation, electrical cabling, switchboards, normal & emergency lighting, general power systems,
groundings, other electrical protections and general electrical refurbishment.
"Our vision is that Merqs will be recognized as one of the most reliable electrical service provider not just in Mindanao but also the whole country. Meanwhile, our mission is to provide quality and innovative services for clients," Reston said.
