Water supply interruption on March 24
DAVAO City Water District advises of two separate sets of water service interruption on March 24, 2017.
First set will be from 9AM to 5PM affecting the entire St. Anthony Village in Mamay.
This water service interruption will give way to the tapping of the newly replaced 100mm diameter mainline and 50mm diameter unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride (uPVC) pipeline in the affected area. Once completed, said project will help reduce non-revenue water.
Second set will be from 9AM to 4PM affecting all areas served by Calinan Water Supply System: portion of Malagos – Cali- nan Road (from DCWD Calinan Production Well No. 1 to corner Magsaysay St.), Calinan Proper, Buhawi Village, portion of Davao-Bukidnon National Highway (from Calinan Proper to corner Riverside), Fortune Village, Dacudao, Naraval Road, Palarca Compound, Dominga Village, Calle Apeque, Peñano St., Bago Vista Village, Bagobo Village, Francisca Village, San Roque Village, Lanzona Village, Hilario Subd. Homeowners Association I and II, Pioneer Subd., Durian Village, Estrella Village, and Megaville Subd.
This water service interruption will allow DCWD’s
crews to tap the newly installed 4-inch diameter Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) pipeline to the existing 4-inch diameter PVC pipeline for the mainline improvement at Lanzona Village in Calinan and tap the newly installed 3-inch diameter PVC pipeline to the existing 3-inch diameter PVC pipeline for the mainline improvement at Purok 6 Gawad Kalinga in Brgy. Dacudao, Calinan. Once completed, said project will allow for accommodation of additional service connections.
The DCWD management asks for the understanding and cooperation of would-be affected customers. They are also advised to store enough water prior to the scheduled water service interruptions. Water supply may be restored earlier if work goes smoothly or later if unforeseen problems arise.
