Man sued for theft
A MAN is facing charges before the court after he took the construction materials of his neighbor while on their way home in Calinan Proper, Davao City last month.
Charged with theft is Mac-Mac Raganit, a resident of Barangay Proper in Baguio District, Davao City.
Prosecutor Imee M. Bisera-Mabale found probable cause to charge the accused based on the complaint filed by his neighbor Nelson Sahol.
In a two-page resolution, the complainant, who is a foreman by profession, attested that the incident happened on August 22, Tuesday.
Sahol said he was driving his multicab on his way home with his fellow worker Leo Abadies when he saw the accused waving his hand in Calinan Proper, for hitchhike.
The complainant slowed down and allowed the accused to take a ride. The latter was seated at the back portion of the multicab where the construction materials were placed.
Upon reaching Purok Rose in Barangay Baguio District, the accused alighted from the multicab.
When the complainant reached home, he immediately unloaded the con-
struction materials. He noticed a Bosch and a Lotus cutter edger were missing.
The complainant suspected the accused after his fellow worker Leo Abadies noticed him carrying something when he disembarked from the multicab.
But Sahol opted to check the construction site the following morning, believing that the cutter edger and Bosch were just left behind the construction site.
When the complainant can no longer find the construction materials, he then reported the incident to the Calinan Police Station.
The complainant, assisted by police authorities, recovered the missing construction materials from the house of the accused who was later brought to Calinan Police Station. ICT
