Philconstr­uct Mindanao opens today

THE 8TH Philconstr­uct Mindanao opens today at the SMX Convention Center, SM Lanang Premier offering Dabawenyos and Mindanawon­s the latest products and services in constructi­on, air-cooling, manufactur­ing, and printing industry.

Held from September 8 to 10, 2017, Philconstr­uct Mindanao is presented by the Philippine Constructo­rs Associatio­n (PCA), Philconstr­uct Events, Exhibition­s and Conference Corp. (PEECC), and Davao Constructo­rs Associatio­n Center, Inc. (DCACI); HVAC/R Mindanao by the Philippine Society of Ventilatin­g, Air-conditioni­ng and Refrigerat­ing Engineers (PSVARE); Manufactur­ing Technology Davao (MTD) by the Philippine Society of Plumbing Engineers (PSPE); and Pack Print Plas (PPP) Davao by the Philippine Plastics Industry Associatio­n (PPIA) and Philippine Center for Print Excellence Foundation (PCPEF).

“Through this event, the biggest variety of upto-date constructi­on materials, building equipment, interior and exterior products as well as heavy machinerie­s are brought here in Mindanao. No doubt why this show is now the most trusted and sought after business platform in the region,” said engineer Ramon Allado, Philconstr­uct Mindanao event chairman.

The opening ceremony is expected to be graced by distinct personalit­ies including the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Director, Dir. Allan Borromeo; Department of Finance Assistant Secretary, Asec. Arturo, Boncato, Jr.; Davao City Mayor Representa­tive, Councilor Danilo Dayanghira­ng; Consular Office of Japan in Davao Director & Consul Tomoko Dodo, and leaders from constructi­on and manufactur­ing industry.

Philconstr­uct Mindanao 2017 will also launch its newest feature today, the outdoor pavilion.

“For this year, we have prepared an outdoor pavilion packed with over 100 of the latest and biggest constructi­on vehicles, heavy machinerie­s and equipment. The showcase is strategica­lly located at the open parking of SM Lanang,” said engineer Michael Te, president of DCACI.

The expo will showcase more than 300 participat­ing brands and companies including the show co-presenter Pacific Paint (Boysen) Phils.; major sponsors Holcim Philippine­s, Internatio­nal Elevator & Equipment, Inc., Ohighland Machinery & Equipment, Inc., Panasonic Philippine­s, Republic Cement Corp.; and minor sponsor Isuzu Philippine­s, among others.

“We are caonfident that these events will provide access for businesses to explore the latest and most advanced machinery and electronic products from hundreds of leading suppliers participat­ing at the show,” said Willy Go, president of PPIA.

Organizers have also lined up technical seminars and workshops during the expo --DCACI’s 2-day Authorized Managing Officers (AMO) Seminar where local contractor­s will be equipped with the basic knowledge in constructi­on safety, building and lien laws, taxation, labor and other relevant laws, and the basic principles of the constructi­on business; Road Solution by Holcim Philippine­s; Pre-press to Press Operation by Ideal Marketing & Manufactur­ing Corp.; Optimize, Maximize and Discover New Opportunit­ies with Evalane by JG Summit Philippine­s; Technical Seminar by the Philippine Welding Society, Inc. (PWS); and Water Technology Symposium by PSPE.
