Have you ever fancied to eat in a place where east meets west? We know just the right restaurant you’re looking for! Its aesthetics and cuisine is inspired by old English tradition which makes the place not only Instagram-worthy but also a haven for your tummy.

It's called Grubshack, which opened on June 21, 2017, Grubshack opened along Jacinto St., Davao City, in front of Ateneo de Davao University.

Owner Aubrey James Patricio, who's also the head chef of Grubshack, manages the restaurant. She started out as a kitchen chef in the restaurant of a hotel and resort business in the city. After gaining sufficient experience while working at restaurants here in the city, he then received an opportunity to work abroad in the Kingdom of Bahrain. There he stayed there for 2 years and was a cook at a certain restaurant.

Having worked there, Chef Aubrey perfected his craft. While in Bahrain, he thought of putting up a restaurant together with his cousin as soon as he comes back to the Philippines. One of Grubshack’s best sellers is their burgers, more specifically their black bun burgers. Having no rice meals at that time before made their burgers a customer’s favorite during the early days of their opening. Months passed they offered new options to their customers, Roasted Chicken, Burger Steak, Salad, and a lot more.

What makes Grubshack stand out from the rest is that they want to offer something unique to its customers – vibrant flavors, quality patties in burger buns, exciting new dishes, and a place that takes you afar from the hustle and bustle of the city. A feel at home space where you can unwind in their old English saloon inspired place served with good food and good music.
