Dutertes bare 2019 plans

-

Duterte siblings announced their political plans for 2019. One is running for Congress while the other is retiring.

Vice Mayor Paolo ‘Pulong' Duterte announced his retirement from politics come 2019 election, but assured that the ‘Carpio-Duterte' tandem will still lead the city.

This after his sister, Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, announced that she will run as a representative of the first congressional district of Davao City.

"When Mayor Sara announced that she will file for a congressional seat in the first district, everybody's asking me where I am going. It will still be a Carpio-Duterte tandem in the mayor and vice mayor, we are still talking to the other Duterte but definitely it will not be me," he said.

He said that the husband of Mayor Sara, Manases Carpio is very qualified to lead the city with his background in the law profession while talks are ongoing with the youngest of the Duterte siblings, Sebastian.

"If you will ask me where will I go, I will be going back to farming. I am planning to retire," Vice Mayor Duterte added.

Vice Mayor Duterte said that he had enough

of politics and wanted to focus more on his family and on his small farm at the back of his house.

He said that his children have been affected by the issues thrown against him by his political enemies like Senator Antonio Trillanes IV.

Earlier, Vice Mayor Duterte said that his daughter, Sabina, cried in front of him and his wife, January, after hearing the accusations of Trillanes.

Trillanes accused Vice Mayor Duterte of being a member of an international triad involved in dealing with illegal drugs in which the latter has earlier denied. CIO
