-

CEBU - Don't take nude videos or photos of yourself and send them to anyone, even to your lover, police said.

A 19-year-old was arrested by a joint unit of Carcar City Police Station and the Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) 7 for allegedly raping and threatening his 16-year-old exgirlfriend in Barangay Ocaña, Carcar City last Friday evening.

“The victim asked for our help because according to her, her former boyfriend was threatening her through text messages that if she would not rekindle their relationship, the suspect would share her nude photos and videos in Facebook or with her family,” Chief Insp. Leo Dofiles, chief of the ACG 7, said.

The 19-year-old was identified as Felix Quindala Jr. from Sitio Puesto, Barangay Napo, Carcar City.

At 7 p.m. last Friday, operatives from the ACG and the Carcar police conducted an entrapment against Quindala.

They arrested Quindala and seized his phone where the nude photos and videos of the girl were found. “According to the complainant, Quindala took the video and she was coerced, she was forced to do that. She was also threatened that if she wouldn’t do it, her family would get hurt,” Dofiles said. He also warned that anyone who would commit this offense will suffer heavy penalties with a minimum imprisonment ranging from six to 12 years.

“Please refrain from doing this. Those teens, male or female, who are sending their nude photos or videos to their lovers, please be advised that if your relationship ends, there’s no assurance that they have indeed deleted those files,” Dofiles said. JOB/SS-Cebu
