Nat’l gov’t to implement major infra projects in Zamboanga City
ZAMBOANGA - First district Representative Celso Lobregat announced that major infrastructure projects are set to be implemented by the national government next year in Zamboanga City.
Lobregat, who chairs the House Committee on Public Works and Highways, said the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte is pouring in billions of pesos for infrastructures that would address the local traffic mess and spur progress and development.
Lobregat said major infrastructure projects, which he described as “Big One” will implement next year include overpass, flood control, drainage, pumping station worth billions of pesos.
He said among the ongoing projects implemented this year by the national government included road widening, bypass road, flood controls and school buildings.
He noted that there was “no single regional project” implemented by the previous administration in this city.
He asked for public patience since there will be inconvenience while the projects are being implemented “but once these projects are completed, it will help resolve our traffic woes.”
“What the National Government does is giving permanent solution to our problems,” he added.
Lobregat vowed he will continue to deliver services due to the people and to bring in more National Government funded projects while he is still serving as representative of the first district.
