Samal holds Children’s Month Culmination 2017

ISLAND Garden of Samal - Around 215 attendees from Babak, Samal and Kaputian District joined the Children’s Month Celebration led by City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) last November 27, 2017 at Samal Cultural Gymnasium, Peñaplata, Island Garden City of Samal.

The event, which has a theme “Bata: Iligtas sa Droga”, was participated by the day care pupils, parents, and teachers. The activity is aimed to enhance the talents of the kids in day care centers.

The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) intensified efforts in protecting children, especially the less fortunate, by institutionalizing the four gifts of children -- local developsharing ment plan for children; local investment plan for children; local code for children; and the state of local children’s report.

“Today, comes another year to celebrate the Children’s Month, luckily our city was declared as a child friendly city for 2016. One of the highlights and remarkable part of the celebration is to inform the public on the situation of our children”, said Chairman Committee on Education and Social Services Richard Guindolman.

“You the teachers handle kids aging from three to four years old must be careful with your words [because these can] affect the kids," said Vice Mayor Orly Amit.
