Comval celebrates annual event through interfaith prayers
COMPOSTELA VALLEY– The Provincial Government celebrates its annual Thanksgiving Day or Interfaith Day under the Provincial Spiritual Development and Values Restoration Program (PSDVRP) held on December 8, 2017 at the Capitol Ground, Cabidianan, Nabunturan, Comval.
It banners the theme “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God,” which was taken from the book of Philippians Chapter 4, Verse 6.
More than 2,500 participants coming from various religious denominations joined the celebration of thanksgiving in the province.
As early as 4 in the morning, the Dawn March for "7 Spheres of influence" kicked off in front of the Provincial Capitol, with seven stations dropping by in the buildings located beside the capitol building for a five-minute prayer.
The assembly proceeded at the Tribal Hall, Council of Women, PDRRMC, Provincial Engineering Office, Commission on Audit, Department of Education, after which they all flocked at the Capitol grounds for the program.
Leading the significant event is Governor Jayvee Tyron L. Uy who expressed his gratitude saying “Mao kini ang panahon nga dili lang ang individual prayers but ang hiniusang kusog sa tanang mga katawhan sa tanang lungsod sa atong probinsiya. In unity, we are stronger,” Gov. Uy added.
Dr. Richard T. Mata, pediatrician/evangelist, one of the invited speakers, shared his wisdom and inspiring thoughts in lifting up the spiritual life of every participant. He also rendered a prayer for all Comvalenyos and the whole province as well after his message. Rey Antibo/ID comval
