2 drug suspects charged in Mati
TWO believed to be notorious drug pushers are facing charges before the court in Mati City for selling illegal drugs.
Charged with violation of the Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as The Comprehensive Danger- ous Drugs Act, are Sajan Gadjali, alias Dandan, 46, of Kaislaman; and Julhani Gadjali, 48, of Bilawan Bridge 1.
Suspects were found in possession of 23 plastic sachets of suspected shabu
weighing 25 grams, worth P300,000.
Record obtained from the Philippine Drugs Enforcement Agency (Pdea) 11 revealed that the suspects are among its top priority targets in Davao region. Sajan is also on the top list of the Police Regional Office (PRO) 11.
The Gadjali brothers were arrested after selling one sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as shabu, for P1,000 to an operative who acted as buyer.
Joint elements of the Pdea11, Davao Oriental Provincial Police Office (DOPPO) and Mati City Police Station conducted the drug-bust operation on March 22, Thursday, around 5:30 p.m. that led to their arrest at Sitio Kamansi in Baangay Badas, Mati City.
The arrested suspects are currently detained at Mati City Police Station jail facility, while the seized suspected illegal drugs were submitted to Davao Oriental Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for qualitative and quantitative examination.
