Solenn Heussaff replies to bashers

-

Solenn Heussaff and her brother Erwan have a very strong social media presence, with their regular updates on different platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.

The Fil-French siblings do not just have their individual channels but regularly do collaborations as well.

Solenn admitted that despite their good intentions in sharing slices of their lives, they still get their share of bashers online.

“I know naka-receive si Erwan ng mga hate messages kasi hindi naman siya pure Pinoy, blah, blah, blah. We also did a video before na Bicol Express but our version, hindi yung classic one and we got bashed for that din. Pero you can’t please everyone,” she shared during the Watsons Philippines #HairGoals event in Pasay City.

Solenn said she is not the type to let that kind of negativity affect her work.

“Parang no naman kasi that’s a very small minority of the population, the things like that. For me it’s just about being proud of your roots so kahit 1/4 Pinoy ako I’m still Filipino. You being pure as a Filipino 100% na blood, it doesn’t make you less of a Filipino if you’re 50% Filipino. I think we promote the Philippines more than a lot of Filipinos in general,” she said.

The 32-year-old artist said she hopes Pinoys can be more open and accepting of different ways of doing things and not just resort to bashing instead of being more constructive.

“The others understand naman that you need to move forward as a country kahit na we have certain ways of doing things like traditional ways. We also need to move forward like all the other countries. So if we can help and push the Philippines we’re going to do it and yung mga haters palagi sila naman nandun, wala tayong magagawa,” she added.PUSH.COM
