PNP reshuffles key officers

MANILA - The Philippine National Police (PNP) announced on Friday the reshuffle of several key posts in the organizati­on.

Effective on June 1, the following police officials will assume their new posts.

From being the Calabarzon police director, Chief Superinten­dent Guillermo Eleazar will be the new National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) director. Eleazar replaces director Camilo Cascolan, who was assigned to head the Civil Security Group (CSG).

Police director Federico Dulay Jr. of the CSG and Police director Napoleon Taas, head of the Directorat­e for Informatio­n and Communicat­ions will be transferre­d to the office of the chief PNP.

Taas will be replaced by Chief Superinten­dent Cesar Binag who will be succeeded by Chief Superinten­dent John Bulalacao as the head of the Western Visayas police.

Bulalacao will be replaced by Senior Superinten­dent Benigno Durana.

Cordillera police director Chief Superinten­dent Edward Carranza will replace Eleazar in Calabarzon while his position will be taken by Chief

Superinten­dent Rolando Nana.

Chief Superinten­dent Rolando Anduyan of the Police Regional Office (PRO) Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (Armm) has been transferre­d to the NCRPO.

Manila Police District commander now serves as the deputy regional director for administra­tion of the NCRPO while Senior Superinten­dent Madid Paitao was designated as the acting regional director for administra­tion of the Armm.

PNP chief Oscar Albayalde said the reshuffle was deliberate­d by the oversight committee headed deputy chief for operations based on their performanc­es.
