The saga continues for ‘Ang Probinsyano’

-

It appears that the journey of Ricardo “Cardo” Dalisay in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” is still far from over.

It can be noted that a number of televiewers have already aired their comments about the unending events in the life of Coco Martin’s character in the Kapamilya Network’s primetime soap. Amid this, it seems that their “suffering” would not yet end.

Several memes about the long-running teleserye, which premiered last September 28, 2015, have been circulating as well in social media. There is a meme that suggests that if the program would continue until its 4th year, he would already be the one to “kill” the leading character. There is also that cites President Rodrigo R. Duterte as the sole hope to put an end to the “Ang Probinsyano” saga.

On Sunday, June 17, Philippine Entertainment Portal (Pep) reported that Coco revealed in an interview during the 66th FAMAS Award Night that “Ang Probinsyano” is keeping its door open for comebacking actors.

Since 2015, it has already featured numerous stars, from child actors to comebacking veteran artists. Among them are Julio Diaz, former “Ang TV” star Gio Alvarez, Yayo Aguila, James Blanco, Susan Africa, brothers Bernard and Mico Palanca, Rez Cortez, and Viva Hotbabes members Katya Santos and Maui Taylor.

While the program’s executives could have something to say about the inclusion of different stars every now and then, it looks like it is really Coco who finds ways to have them. This is accordingly his way of paying it forward considering all the blessings he has been receiving.

“Dahil dun, nabigyan din ako ng trabaho, at sa pamamagitan nun, marami sa mga baguhang artista na nabubuksan ang pinto,” said Coco, who got the FPJ Memorial Award during the latest FAMAS.

“At marami rin sa mga dating kasamahan natin sa trabaho ang nabibigyan uli ng pagkakataon para makapagtrabaho.”

The 36-year-old multiawarded actor likewise pointed out that he considers having these stars in his show as a fulfilment. Recently, comedienne Whitney Tyson joined the show.

“Kasi para sa akin, sa panahon ngayon, yun ang makakaya kong ibigay sa kanila, yun ang maitutulong ko at the same time natutulungan din nila ako,” he said, adding that it is his pleasure to be working with those he looked up to while he was growing up.

“Para sa akin masarap sa pakiramdam na nabibigyan mo uli sila ng pagkakataon.”

Who could be the next actors to bring colors to Cardo Dalisay’s exciting life? ### For comments and suggestions, please feel free to reach me at mendoza.jennygrace@gmail.com.
