Pdea 11 seizes P750K illegal drugs in bust

ONE of Davao region’s high value targets was busted by authorities during a joint buy bust operation in Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur on Thursday, July 5, along with the recovery of P750,000 worth of illegal drugs.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Re- gional (Pdea 11) information officer Noli Nephi Dimaandal said that the agents from Davao del Sur Provincial Drug Enforcement Office of Pdea 11 together with Sta. Cruz Municipal Police Station and 1104th Regional Mobile Force Batallion conducted a buy-bust operation last at around 5:10 p.m., at Sitio Tacub, Barangay Zone 1, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur.

The suspect was identified as Aldrin Anta Bautista alias Aldrin, 33, married and tricycle driver.

Bautista was arrested for selling one sachet of methamphetamine hydrochloride locally known as “shabu” worth P2,000 to a Pdea agent.

After the undercover agent announced his authority, another one pack of shabu weighing more or less 50 grams with a street value of P750,000 and the buy-bust marked money bill were also recovered during the buybust operation from the suspect’s possession.

Bautista is currently

detained at Pdea’s detention facility while the seized suspected illegal drugs were submitted to Laboratory Service for qualitative examination.

Meanwhile, cases for violation of Section 5, and Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against him.JCR
