I'M back at one of Bangkok’s major thoroughfares, Sukhumvit. By major, I mean Sukhumvit is one of the longest boulevards in Thailand, and extraordinarily one of the longest boulevards in the world.

I’ve stayed in several hotels along this stretch, in sois (Thai for streets) perpendicular to the road, but this would be my first time to stay in a hotel by Sukhumvit in the Klongtoey Nua (sub-district), Wattana (district).

Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok is in this most convenient location. The stylish 30-storey hotel rises loftily at the heart of downtown Bangkok with 290 rooms with modern appointments and breathtaking vistas.

It shares the address with Bangkok’s two BTS Skytrain stations, Asok and Phrom Phong, both within walking distance, and attached to these two stations are exciting shopping destinations— the Terminal 21, which attracts the young, and the EmQuartier and Emporium, which lures in the luxury shoppers. The neighborhood also has a good number of exciting gastronomic and entertainment spots.

However, you need not step out of the comforts of the hotel to excite your palate or while you time away. Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok has within its confines exceptional dining options serving local, regional and international flavors, chic bars with a view of the city street or the entire city, and recreation and wellness facilities which include infinity pool, wellequipped fitness center and modern spa offering traditional Thai therapies.

“What makes Radisson Blu Plaza Plaza unique and attractive? Apart from our location which has easy access to key points, we’re only 200 meters from the subway & sky train and surrounded by leading department stores like Terminal 21, Emporium and EmQuartier, our hotel has nice restaurants and bars for our both local and foreign guest to enjoy,” said Busakorn Kaewmorakot, Radisson Blu Bangkok’s Director of Marketing Communications.

You need a drink? Have one at Bar Esc at the pool deck with wide city views. Inspired by the hip vibe of Miami, it makes for a chill spot to enjoy refreshing cocktails during the day or night.

But if you want a glass of cold draft beer, head up to the top floor where you can enjoy both the beer and panoramic view of Bangkok at night. Brewski is the highest craft beer rooftop bar in Thailand. On its menu are 100 craft brews and ciders plus 12 on tap to add taste and sparkle.

What you crave for, Radisson Blu will serve it. At Attico, feast on a hearty menu inspired by Italy’s diverse regions that changes with the seasons, while the stylish China Table, where Heritage fare meets contemporary fusion in the décor and on the menu, presents a tempting choice of signature dishes and one of the best dim sum brunches in Bangkok.

For all the best things in life can be enjoyed, from great coffee to creative sweets and crafted confectionary, happy hour smiles to signature snacks, head to B/Sharp & B/Sweet at the lobby.

This is where you can admire the amazing ceiling installation—and get a peek of Twenty Seven Bites at the mezzanine floor. It’s the hotel’s all day dining that will take you on a culinary tour of the globe and a Sunday brunch Brasserie worthy getting out of bed for.

But if nothing can really pull you out of your comfortable bed (which I can relate to), then order room service.

“All the 290 rooms and suites of Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok is a cocoon of highly functional comfort, one in which guests unfurl and relax amid understated design palettes enlivened by vivid splashes of color. Room features include marble bathroom with separate rain shower and tub along with advanced work and entertainment technologies,” shared Ms. Kaewmorakot.

All these add up to why Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok has become a favorite of many of its guests.

“We have a lot of repeated guest stay with us because of satisfaction in our hotel & service. Moreover, we also have RadissonRewards™ provides members an enhanced experience from time of booking to checkout and every moment in-between. Members enjoy Member Only Rates, have access to exclusive benefits, and earn towards free nights across Radisson Hotel GroupTM portfolio of hotels,” she said.

That’s something new and something Blu for me.

Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok is at 489 Sukhumvit Road (Soi 27), Klongtoey Nua, Wattana, Bangkok 10110, Thailand.
