DavOcc officials undergo drug tests

MALITA, Davao Occidental - The provincial officials and five municipal mayors of the province underwent a drug test Tuesday to support the anti-illegal drugs cam- paign of President Rodrigo R. Duterte.

Governor Claude Bautista initiated a drug test with his brother Vice Governor Franklin Bautista, and all the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan members including municipal mayors and the rest of the members of Provincial Anti Drug Abuse Council (Padac) and Provincial Peace Peace and Order Council.

The drug testing was conducted after the joint meeting with Peace and Order Council, Padac and Provincial Development Council.

All the municipal mayors of the five municipalities were present as well as the Provincial Board Members.

Bautista also obliged all department heads of the provincial government to undergo drug examination.

He underscored that the success of the antiillegal drug campaign program depends on the commitment of the government officials and operators from the provincial level down to the barangay level.

“It is essential that such commitment must be seen and be felt by the people of Davao Occidental, and that the conduct of the said surprised drug test with all the key officials participating, is an important undertaking to motivate everyone to support the government’s endeavor to eliminate illegal drugs particularly in our province,” he ended.
