Among the world's best mega crew

Two Davao teams flew to Phoenix, Arizona in the USA to compete in the Hip Hop Internatio­nal 2018 and came home with two of the three top prizes in their division.

Fusion Dance Crew Davao came home with the silver while Kindred Dance Crew came home with the bronze in the Mega Crew Division where a third Philippine team LMN (Alam Na) placed sixth.

The Mega Crew Division champion is The Jukebox from Mexico.

A total of 58 teams made up of more than 1,500 dancers from 50 countries, of which nine were from the Philippine­s, joined the competitio­n that had four categories. Aside from the Mega Crew, the other divisions are the Adult Division and Varsity Division.

In the adult division the Philippine’s The Peepz Dance Crew placed third where CBAction of Argentina ruled, while in the Varsity Division, Kingsmen Dance Crew of the Philippine­s went home with silver with the gold brought home by Kana-Boom! from Japan. The Junior Division was won by Awesome Junior of Thailand.

The competitio­n held from August 5-10 were held at the Arizona Grand Resort and Spa for the preliminar­ies and semifinals, while the finals was held at the Grand Canyon University.

Amirhassan Macaumbos and Alexis Bancu, although part of the team, failed to make it to the competitio­n.

After this success, Fusion Davao will be preparing for its annual benefit performanc­e entitled “The Huddle” this November.
