3 DRUG DENS DISMANTLED
Authorities in Davao del Norte were also able to arrest 72 drug personalities
Operatives shut down three drug dens while a total of 72 drug personalities were arrested during the series of operation from September 15 to 16 in Barangay Madaum and Barangay San Isidro, Tagum City, Davao del Norte.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (Pdea) public information Officer Nephi Noli Dimaandal said that joint elements from Davao del Norte Provincial Office of Pdea 11, Tagum City Police Station, Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB 11) Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU 11) and DNFC conducted simultaneous buy-bust operation and dismantling of drug dens which yielded positive result.
Of this, the two suspected drug dens were dismantled in Barangay Madaum while the other one was in Barangay San Isidro.
For the arrested drug personalities, the three drug pushers/drug den maintainer were likewise arrested in Barangay Madaum and one in Barangay San Isidro while 22 drug den visitors were apprehended in Barangay Madaum and the 46 are from Barangay San Isidro.
More or less 35 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride locally known as “shabu” with an estimated street value of P535,000 were recovered. There were also several small empty plastic sachets with suspected shabu residue, assorted drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust marked money bill that were recovered during the anti-drug operation.
The suspects are currently detained at the Pdea Regional Office 11 and Tagum City Police Station detention facility.
“The seized suspected illegal drugs were submitted to Philippine National Police Provincial Crime Laboratory, Tagum City, Davao del Norte and Laboratory Section of this office for laboratory examination,” Dimaandal said.
