GRANDPARENTS FEEL LOVE AT AYALA MALL ABREEZA
Grandparents Day, a special occasion established in the US in 1978, is celebrated in countless ways all over the globe.
For this year’s celebration, which fell on September 9, Ayala Malls chose to turn the spotlight on that one-of-a-kind bond between lolo or lola and apo.
Fittingly called “unstAPOble Love,” Ayala Mall Abreeza’s lineup of Grandparents Day offerings gave lolos, lolas, and apos lots of bonding opportunities, from musical moments to festive food trips — all for free.
One of the component events of “unstAPOble Love” was “Bands for Grands,” a musical showcase which saw members of local children’s musical group Songspell Foundation, Inc. belting their hearts out for the lolos and lolas in attendance at the 2F Hallway near Wrangler.
“A Grand Feast” was in order for grandparent-and-grandchild pairs who were able to present a single receipt purchase of at least P500 from any Ayala Mall Abreeza store at the Main Concierge. Each pair got to feast on Habi at Kape’s scrumptious Filipino merienda buffet for free.
Lolos and lolas who were up to the challenge also got to enjoy a free racing game with their grandkids at the FUNstoppable Zone at Timezone.
Finally, grandparents headed home bearing thoughtful gifts from Ayala Mall Abreeza: jars of turmeric tea to promote their long life and good health.
Online, Ayala Mall Abreeza also called on its social media followers to declare their unstAPOble love for lolo and lola. With a Twitter contest dubbed “Kabilin-Bilinan ng Lola,” Ayala Mall Abreeza saw followers pouring out the best advice they had ever heard from their grandparents for a chance to win Robinsons gift certificates worth P1,000 each.
