After working like a zombie almost seven days a week hunting their sources to gathering news, and being haunted by deadlines every afternoon by the editors, several members of the Davao media gathered for the annual Scarevengers Haunt 2018: Zombowling, a zombie themed bowling tournament held at SM Lanang Premier Bowling Center.

SunStar Davao’s Jinggoy Salvador, Adam Morrel and Mindanao Times’ Ian Garcia under team Zombabwe defended their crown scoring 320 pinfalls.

John Gilford Doquila bannering Team Hybrid with his fellow SunStar reporters Lyka Casamayor and Randie Comilang placed second with 294 while Team Brains of Sun Star Davao photojournalist Macky Lim and Mindanao Times’ Yas Ocampo (252) finished third.

The next three placers were Team Aswang of Bing Gonzales, Maya Padillo, and Joselle Badilla; Team Nakakatacute of Mark Perandos, Ace Perez, and Cristina Alivio; and Team Angie of Ralph Llemit, Leebai Sinsuat Ambolodto.

All participants went home with their hands full of abundant giveaways and prizes sponsored by SM, San Miguel Brewery Inc., San Miguel Pure Foods, Apo Agua, Aboitiz Power, Davao Light and Power Company, Park Inn by Radison, Dermpath, Lara Mia Café and Bistro, Sky, Krispy Kreme, Mari Yoga and Dance Studio, SMDC, Mi Gusta Gourmet Tuyo, Max’s, Olivia and Diego, and Swito Corp, and Smart.

The crazy bowler award went to Adam Morrell for hitting 144 pinfalls while the Zombiest look went to Ian Garcia and Cristina Alivio who won special prizes from the sponsors.

Next year’s Scarevengers Hunt will be spearheaded by Edge Davao.
