A total of 17 vehicles were towed by the Davao City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO) during the All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day, as the city intensifies its traffic regulations and parking rules.

CTTMO head Dionisio Abude said 16 motorcycles and one tricycle were towed and 11 city traffic citation tickets (CTCT) were issued to drivers who violated traffic and parking rules.

“Medyo dili kaayo daghan karon kay mga motorcycles lang man ang na-tow. Nakita pud nato karon na medyo gamay karon (We can see that towed vehicles were only few),” Abude said in a phone interview yesterday.

He also reminded the drivers to respect traffic rules and regulations in the city.

“Kung naa na diha, part na sya sa traffic regulations so dapat respetuhon ug sundon sa mga motorista (If it [signage] was there, it means that it's part of the traffic regulations that needs to be respected by the motorists),” he said, adding that motorists need to change their attitude and be disciplined on the road. Overall, Abude said the traffic was manageable.

“Manageable tanan, ang traffic, kay yearly naman ta nagahimo og traffic advisories and parking signage (Everything was manageable since we have been doing this yearly. We make traffic advisories and we put parking signages),” he said./
